I often get the question from people who are talking about No Fap or No Nut November for the first time as to whether fapping isn’t healthy.
Many people argue that masturbating is healthy for the prostate and that regular fapping is supposed to protect against prostate cancer, which they even back up with studies.
There is a study from 1992 where 31925 men took part. One thing the study found was that men who ejaculated 21 or more times a month had a lower risk than men who ejaculated between 4 and 7 times. Looking even closer at the numbers, men over the age of 50 were 26% less likely to develop prostate cancer. Based on these results, one could conclude that ejaculating is good for our prostate health. What the study did not ask was whether the men simply had a lot of sex or just masturbated a lot. Or did the men who ejaculated often have a healthier social life, less stress or other factors? If we also look at the statistics on the probability of a man developing prostate cancer (14%), we quickly come to the conclusion that it is a rather rare cancer.
If we now look at the statistics that you can reduce the probability by 26% with frequent ejaculations, then your probability drops by 3.5%, which is really not much, is it?
You just have to keep this fact in mind and then you’ll quickly realize that it’s a pointless assumption that you’re doing something for your health if you do it every day. It makes much more sense to invest your time in meaningful activities, which will lead to a better and longer life in the long term.
The serious question I would like to ask you is, if you had a fulfilling sex life, why would you still have the urge to satisfy yourself?
I can tell you from myself, when I stopped fapping and especially the porn consumption, I have had the best sex of my life ever since. I no longer have any problems getting it up and I enjoy every second of intercourse.
And that’s only because I stopped fapping and the damn porn.
But when you consider the disadvantages of porn and masturbation, these disadvantages far outweigh any benefits, which aren’t even 100% certain:
Damage to your mental health (depression, panic attacks, social anxiety, more stress.
So get rid of the idea that you’re doing something for your health by masturbating, you’re just making it worse in the long run!
